Instead, the mod is intended to be a collection of ideas made playable in order to evaluate their potential. I would like to stress that this mod is, in its current state, not balanced at all, and I don't think I'm a skilled enough player to have a valid opinion on game balance. It started as a rework of the very terrible Soviet Defensive Tactics back in February, and I have since added many other Commanders that I felt were severely underperforming. Add to that the option to parachute in 6 pdr AT guns and medic kits.Since the "Lack of viable commanders for Soviet & Wehrmacht" came up pretty high in Relic's balance poll, I decided to do some shameless advertising for a mod of mine. Plus, you can also have smoke barrage on a different cooldown, recon overflight on yet another cooldown (and you can target an arty strike on units/areas the plane reveals) as well as an airstrike (which shares a cooldown with arty). ![]() It has huge range, can fire inside enemy base territory, hits very quickly after call (unlike the 25-pdr) and is accurate and concentrated, like US artillery. ![]() And the Forward Observation Post, if you can build it, gives you probably the best British Artillery option. Field Recovery is expensive but gives you access to two special Royal Engineer squads that can salvage better than OKW. I've been playing around recently with the Tactical Support commander, which hasn't been much appreciated before (everything I read seems to point to Vanguard as the choice rare, or Special Weapons for the Resupply Halftrack in team games).Īctually, I find the Tactical Support to have some really strong abilities. ![]()
